Licence description
Please review the information below carefully. These documents set out the terms, rights, and responsibilities that apply when you use TemplateHarbor.
1. What you receive when you purchase a Product
When you purchase a digital product from templateharbor.com, including a website template, design file, or similar digital asset, you do not acquire ownership of that Product itself. Your purchase gives you a licence, meaning a limited permission to use the Product in the ways allowed under the applicable licence terms.
All Products available on templateharbor.com are sold directly by READYMADE DESIGNS LTD, company number 16632982, of Dept 6496a 126 East Ferry Road, Canary Wharf, London, United Kingdom, E14 9FP, email: info@templateharbor.com. Some Products may have been developed or contributed by independent designers or other rightsholders, but every purchase is made from READYMADE DESIGNS LTD in its own name. Your licence is granted by READYMADE DESIGNS LTD, not by any individual creator. READYMADE DESIGNS LTD makes Products available under agreements and/or licences obtained from the relevant rightsholders and is entitled to sell those Products and grant end-user licences for them.
2. Which licence applies
The licence that applies to your purchase is the one identified on the relevant Product page or shown during checkout. Unless a different licence is expressly stated for a specific Product, the standard licence options are a Personal Licence and a Commercial Licence.
If a Product is offered with different or additional rights under a special licence, those specific terms will apply to that Product to the extent stated at the time of purchase.
3. Personal Licence
A Personal Licence is intended for personal and other non-commercial use. It is generally suitable for an individual using a Product for Personal projects rather than for business, client, or revenue-generating purposes.
Under a Personal Licence, you may use the Product in personal websites, personal portfolios, and other non-commercial projects. You may also adapt the Product for your permitted use, including by changing colours, text, layouts, or images that you own or are otherwise entitled to use. Use in personal branding and non-commercial presentations is also permitted.
A Personal Licence does not allow use of the Product for client work, paid work, commercial services, or other business-related activity. It also does not allow you to pass the Product to others, distribute it, or make it available through external platforms.
4. Commercial Licence
A Commercial Licence is intended for business use and for projects carried out in a commercial context. It is generally suitable for businesses, agencies, studios, freelancers, and others using the Product in connection with commercial activity or work for clients.
Under a Commercial Licence, you may do everything permitted under a Personal Licence. In addition, you may use the Product in business websites, marketing materials, revenue-generating projects, and other commercial work. You may also incorporate the Product into work prepared for a client, including building or designing a website or similar project for that client.
You may earn revenue from projects in which the Product is used, provided that the Product itself is not supplied as a standalone template or digital asset. Unless we expressly authorise this in writing or under a specific licence, your client must not receive the Product itself as a downloadable template, editable source file, or reusable design asset.
A Commercial Licence does not give you the right to resell the Product, redistribute it as a template, repackage it as your own digital asset, or otherwise treat it as a product for further sale or supply.
5. Restrictions that apply to every licence
Regardless of the licence type you purchase, certain uses are always prohibited unless we have given express written permission otherwise.
You must not sell, resell, redistribute, sublicense, share, publish, transfer, or otherwise make the Product available as a standalone file. You must not upload the Product, whether modified or unmodified, to any marketplace, stock platform, repository, template library, download service, or similar environment where third parties may obtain, extract, reuse, or repurpose it.
You must not present the Product as your own original creation, and you must not imply that you are the original author of the Product. You must not use the Product as a logo, trade mark, service mark, or other brand identifier unless a specific licence expressly permits that use.
You must not use the Product in unlawful, misleading, or offensive material.
6. Changes to a Product
You may edit and customise a Product where this is reasonably necessary for a permitted use. This includes adapting design elements so that the Product fits the needs of your project.
However, any modified or adapted version remains subject to the same licence framework as the original Product. Altering a Product does not remove the original licence restrictions, and modifications must not be used to avoid or undermine those restrictions.
7. Ownership and intellectual property
The Product remains protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. The underlying rights in the Product remain owned by the relevant rightsholder and/or licensed to READYMADE DESIGNS LTD. Your purchase does not transfer ownership of the Product or of any intellectual property rights in it.
What you receive is a limited right to use the Product in accordance with the licence that applies to your purchase.
8. Summary of the licence position
In practical terms, this means the following. You are buying permission to use a Product, not the Product’s ownership. A Personal Licence is for personal and non-commercial use. A Commercial Licence extends permitted use to business and client work. In either case, the Product cannot be resold, shared, or redistributed as a template or standalone digital asset unless we have expressly allowed that in writing under a separate licence arrangement.
9. No warranty
Templates and other digital Products are provided on an “as is” basis. READYMADE DESIGNS LTD does not warrant that a Product will be compatible with every third-party program, system, platform, device, or software version, including specific versions of WordPress, Framer, PowerPoint, or comparable tools.
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of England and Wales, READYMADE DESIGNS LTD shall not be liable for lost profits or other damages arising from or connected with the use of a Product. Nothing in this section limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
10. Other documents that apply
This page is only a summary of the main licence principles. Full legal terms governing purchases, licences, and use of Products are set out in our Licence Agreement and our Terms and Conditions. Those documents apply to all purchases made through templateharbor.com and govern the legal relationship relating to Products made available on the Website.
